Kozhara Street is located in the Zheleznodorozhny District of Gomel, in the Stary Aerodrom neighborhood, and is approximately 850 meters long. It is named after Ilya Pavlovich Kozhara — Hero of the Soviet Union, Major General, and one of the organizers of the partisan movement in the Gomel region during the Great Patriotic War. Until 1968, the street was called Novaya, and its development began in 1967.
